What should my child wear?

We love to embrace the art process, which means we might get messy. Make sure that your artist is properly dressed for an art studio. This means wearing comfortable clothes and shoes that you don’t mind getting paint on. Smocks are provided.

Can I bring water and snacks?

Please bring a water bottle to class.  You can also bring snacks to camps and longer sessions.  We ask that the students eat their food away from the art materials.  Please let me know if your student has any allergies.

Where do the parents go?

We want our students to develop their confidence by creating independently so parents do not participate in the session unless specified. We have a small waiting area, but we encourage drop-offs or visiting the restaurant or yogurt shop next to the studio. If your child needs additional support or an aide we are happy to accommodate, just let us know.

Do you accept ESA funds?

Absolutely! At check-out use the code “ESA.” Upon enrollment we will send you an invoice to submit through Classwallet. Invoices are sent within several business days.

What does it mean to be on the waitlist?

When a class is full, please join the waitlist.  We will do everything we can to accommodate all students who wish to participate. If a spot opens up you will receive a priority email to register. The waitlist does not guarantee your spot. Your spot is reserved once you have registered and paid. We do not hold spots.

What about music?

Art and music go together! We often play a wide range of music from oldies to current pop music, including Taylor Swift and Imagine Dragons.

Can we arrive early? What if I’m running late?

We open the studio 5 minutes prior to the start of the session. Please be on time for class. If you are running late to class or for pick-up, please send us a text at 480-331-3807. Late pick-ups, after ten minutes are subject to an additional fee of $1/minute late. Of course, if there is an accident, construction, etc. we will take that into consideration.

Do you accept donations?

Yes, we can always use toilet paper rolls, paper towel rolls, tissue boxes, left over scrap paper, game pieces, buttons, left over fabric. When in doubt, bring it in. If we can’t use it, we will donate it to the Art Resource Center in Tempe.
