Participants are expected to adhere to a code of conduct while attending classes. This includes being respectful and kind to the instructors, fellow participants, the materials, and the studio environment. Participants will be made aware of the class expectations at the beginning of the lesson. We use encouragement and positive redirection, but if a student continues not to meet our behavior expectations, the guardian will be contacted and asked to leave the session.  Continuation for the remainder of the classes is up to the discretion of Hot Potato Art Studio. There are no refunds for students who do not meet the code of conduct.

Tutoring Policies & Guidelines:

All of the above policies apply in addition to the following related to our tutoring services:

Participation:

Guardians can observe the lesson, but they do not participate in the lesson unless discussed beforehand. This promotes artistic independence and confidence among our students.

All tutoring participants must be registered and paid for prior to the session. If you would like to invite a friend email Hot Potato Art Studio at Emily@hotpotatoartstudio.com

Payments, Refunds, and Cancellations:

Art tutoring is invoiced per quarter. You can choose to pay per session, per month, or per quarter. Payment for the session needs to be made at least 3 days prior to the lesson.  If you are not able to attend a session that you have already purchased, you will receive a credit for the session, as long as we have 3 days notice through email, text, or verbal communication. Otherwise, there are no refunds for missed sessions.

If you need to adjust your schedule, let your tutor know.  We require 30 days notice to discontinue tutoring. Notify Hot Potato Art Studio through email at info@hotpotatoartstudio.com

Event Policies & Guidelines:

All of the above policies apply in addition to the following related to our events:

The Process

After requesting an art event, an estimate will be emailed to you. Please review it and either approve it or let us know if any changes need to be made.  Once the estimate is approved we will send a non-refundable $100 deposit to save the date. Then, three days prior to the event we will email you for the final headcount.  An invoice will be sent based on the headcount and due on the day of the event.  You can choose to pay through the invoice or through Venmo (@HotPotatoArtStudio), check, or cash.  If using credit, there is a $5 processing fee.

We have a minimum charge of $250 per event ($200 for craft parties). The final cost will be calculated based on the number of participants communicated two days prior to the event. We do not offer refunds for no show guests as materials have already been purchased and prepared. If additional guests participate on the day of the event then we will add them to the invoice.

Reminders

Smocks are provided if paint is being used, but please remind your guests to wear clothes that they do not mind getting paint on.

Materials

We use stretched canvas and acrylic paint. We can adjust the materials based on request. Additional charges may apply.

Contact

We will send you a reminder email or text at least three days before the event to confirm the number of participants.  If you have any questions please reach out to emily@hotpotatoartstudio.com or text 480-331-3807.

Assumption of Risk and Release of Liability

By agreeing to the event you understand that participation in art experience includes the use of various art materials including paint and glue which may lead to accidental spills, stains, and/or injury. You release and hold harmless Hot Potato Art Studio, LLC from any liability for personal injury or property damage that can occur during an art event.
